BAUHAUS AG is one of the best-known DIY store chains in Europe, headquartered in Mannheim. The company operates over 270 stores in 19 countries and stands for the concept "Everything for workshop, home and garden – under one roof".
The product range extends from high-quality tools and building materials to furniture, electrical supplies, and plants. With more than 20,000 employees, BAUHAUS focuses on quality, expert advice, and long-term customer satisfaction – both in-store and in its online shop.
Especially in the digital realm, advice content plays a strategic role: It answers typical customer questions, imparts expert knowledge, and guides users through the information-gathering phase – long before they add a product to their shopping cart. High-quality SEO articles thus strengthen the BAUHAUS brand as a competent partner, generate organic traffic, and direct interested parties to relevant offers in the online shop.

The project: SEO articles for bauhaus.info
Since 2022, I have been writing new SEO articles for BAUHAUS on behalf of DWA, covering topics such as advice sections and shop category pages, and optimizing existing content. Working closely with the on-site team and experts, I create high-quality, expert content that informs users, provides helpful internal links, and increases the visibility of the entire bauhaus.info domain.
My responsibilities include:
- Development of new guides based on the SEO strategy
- Revision of existing SEO texts
- Keyword researchto avoid keyword cannibalization
- Proactive SEO & GEO consulting: clear separation of informational and transactional search intent
- Topic planning and development of new content formats
This creates content that not only improves rankings but also accompanies users throughout the entire customer journey – from initial information gathering to the purchase decision.

Since 2022, we have increased the number of top 10 rankings by over 10,000%, from 245 to 25,894. The number of top 100 keywords has also risen by almost 7,000% – from 1,770 to over 122,000.
100 times visibility
For the German target market, the visibility of all BAUHAUS guides has increased a hundredfold in 3 years, from 0.0251 to 2.71.

Many of my SEO articles are proving to be strong traffic drivers, as planned in the SEO strategy, and are on page 1, currently 5 even in first place.
