What does high-quality GEO (text + support) cost in practice?
In short: You should budget at least €2,000 per month for ongoing SEO and GEO measures to ensure your website measurably improves.
And that's how I arrived at this amount:
- Writing a comprehensively optimized SEO text, including keyword research, image optimization and two rounds of revisions, takes between 5 and 10 hours, depending on the industry
- This is supplemented by another 1-2 hours for prompt research and optimization for AI search engines ( Generative Engine Optimisation ).
- In addition, each text requires an extra 30 minutes to 1 hour for questions, communication, and project management.
- Of course, this text should be monitored: How is it performing on Google? How is it performing in AI search engines? SEO monitoring and live reporting takes me about 1.5 hours per month; if AI monitoring and reporting are added, it takes another 2 hours or so. If your website is larger, a lot is happening, and many errors have occurred, it can take 4-6 hours.
- Optional: A GEO/SEO translation takes an additional 3 to 8 hours. This is advisable if you have a bilingual website or place a high value on AI optimization.

If we've agreed on an average monthly budget of €2,000 (15.5 hours), there's still time, in addition to creating new content, to react to the results from the reports. This includes adjustments, fixing errors, and other tasks like SEO translation, newsletters, or LinkedIn marketing, all of which are essential for ensuring your website consistently ranks well on Google and in AI search results.
Therefore, I would like to say that you should budget at least €2,000 per month for ongoing SEO measures.
As a well-established metric, SEO pricing is an investment you can plan for. And one that will pay off in the medium to long term.

It all depends on your SEO strategy: If you want three new landing pages, eight blog posts, 16 LinkedIn posts, and a newsletter per month, plus content maintenance and reporting, you'll need a larger budget than for a single blog post.
I offer monthly SEO support starting at €850, and combined SEO and GEO support starting at €1,000.
The same applies to GEO, except that AI optimization is even more complex and therefore more time-consuming.
A blog post costs between €500 and €1,200 after a detailed briefing, including keyword research and two rounds of revisions.

Yes. For me, GEO optimization isn't a separate add-on, but rather an integral part of holistic SEO work.
When I develop websites, content, or strategies, I consider both traditional search engines and AI-based search systems. This includes, for example, structure, content, topic logic, and signals relevant to AI searches.
You don't pay extra for GEO; instead, you're investing in a future-proof SEO foundation that takes Google and AI searches into account.
I deliberately don't offer separate "GEO packages" because I'm convinced that GEO only works effectively in conjunction with sound SEO.
In short: No.
SEO texts can't be fairly priced based on word count. They need relevant keywords, tone of voice, and must contribute to your website strategy to be truly effective. The real effort isn't in simply writing something down, but in the thinking beforehand and the fine-tuning afterward.
That's why I work with fixed prices based on experience. This gives you planning security and allows me the freedom to deliver content that measurably contributes to your goals.

SEO works best when you're consistent. Content has a medium- to long-term impact, rankings change, and so do the requirements of Google and AI search systems. This can't be effectively addressed with a one-off measure.
Of course, there are providers who sell SEO content as a one-off project. For me, that doesn't align with the goal of achieving measurable and sustainable results. That's why I prefer to work with my clients on a long-term basis.
No, I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. You can't buy AI and Google rankings.
What you can buy is a content strategy for AI and SEO, plus high-quality SEO texts. You can also run paid ads for a few months until your content ranks organically on page 1 of Google.
High-quality SEO content has a lifespan of up to 10 years, depending on the industry. SEO content marketing is more of a marathon than a sprint: it steadily increases your website's visibility and unfolds its full effect in the medium to long term.
To maintain the value of your website, you should invest in SEO maintenance and regularly update texts and images.
The costs of your SEO content marketing strategy and the purchase of SEO texts typically pay for themselves within a few months to a few years.
