Its range spans from high-quality tools and building materials to furniture, electrical supplies, and plants. With more than 20,000 employees, BAUHAUS focuses on quality, expert advice, and long-term customer satisfaction – both in-store and online.
For BAUHAUS’s website, how-to content in German plays a strategic role: it answers common customer questions, shares expert knowledge, and supports users early on in their decision-making journey – long before they add a product to their cart. High-quality DIY content strengthens BAUHAUS’s position as a trusted resource, generate organic traffic, and guide potential customers to relevant offers in the online shop as well as their stores.

The project: SEO content in German for bauhaus.info
Since 2022, I have been writing SEO content in German for BAUHAUS on behalf of DWA – covering the how-to section, shop category pages, and optimising existing content. In close collaboration with the onsite team and subject-matter experts, this results in high-quality expert content that informs users, strengthens internal linking, and increases the visibility of the entire bauhaus.info domain.
My work for BAUHAUS includes:
- developing new DIY guides based on their content strategy
- revising and improving existing German SEO content
- conducting keyword research to avoid keyword cannibalisation
- providing proactive SEO and GEO consulting, ensuring a clear separation between informational and transactional content
- planning topics and developing new content formats

Since 2022, we have increased Top-10 rankings from 245 to 25,894 – a growth of over 10,000%. The number of Top-100 keywords has also risen by almost 7,000% – from 1,770 to more than 122,000.
100x visibility
For the German target market, the visibility of all BAUHAUS how-to content has increased 100-fold since 2022 – from 0.0251 to 2.71.
Google’s page 1
Many of my SEO articles have developed into strong traffic drivers, as planned in the SEO strategy, and now rank on Google’s first page – with five currently holding the #1 position.
