What does on-page optimization mean?

The term "on-page optimization" refers to the search engine optimization (SEO) of content, structure, and technical aspects of a website. In other words, everything that happens directly on your website.

This includes, for example, keyword research and optimizing your landing pages. The goal of on-page optimization is for your website to be found by Googleand to appear as high as possible in the search results (ranking).

On-page optimization is also synonymously called on-site optimization.

On-page optimization is complemented by so-called "off-page optimization." Successful search engine optimization always consists of a combination of on-page and off-page optimization, but you should focus on on-page optimization first.

The algorithms of the various search engines are constantly changing. For this reason, your on-page optimization is never truly complete. To adapt to current user search behavior, the requirements for SEO optimization and content SEO on your website also change.

Just because your website is perfectly optimized today doesn't mean it will be in a year. New requirements and content necessitate continuous optimization. Search engine optimization is therefore not static, but an ongoing process.
